Mattress Fire Codes

I got a call today from a customer who wanted some additional information on the various fire codes that are involved in the futon / mattress industry today. As of July, 2007 every mattress or futon is require to be able to withstand an open flame for minutes without bursting into flames. The side by side demo in the video above is a great example of the difference this new law makes.

What it doesn't address, however, are the affects of such chemicals in our bedding. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think about the new laws.
