Door Handles

Most people don't put a whole lot of thought into their door handles. Usually they want them to open, lock, and be sturdy. Well, at least until they're broken, and then people usually cheap out on replacements. Anyway, Noelle and I have been in the process of making improvements to the inside of our rental income property and we were looking at door knobs and handles the other day. We checked out the local hardware store and didn't find anything that really tickled our fancies (where did that come from).

To the internet: We found a really cool British site called Door Chic that specializes in nice door knobs. Take the handle pictured above. It has a nice brushed chrome assembly with a chestnut leather grip. And thats just one example out of many. Now, it could just be me, but I don't think I've seen a store that sells high end door hardware, and it's too bad that the Atlantic Ocean is between us. The site design is crisp, clear, and easy to navigate. Check out their selection if you're in the UK or willing to pay shipping rates to the US.

All in all, they had the some nice furnishings that I will I could use in my space.
