Planned Communities

I've heard a bit about planned communities in the past six months, like the one started by Disney or the one planned by Texas hill country real estate. For those of you who are not familiar with planned communities, here's the deal. Planned communities are generally structured communities, that give the appearance of small town USA, even though a lot of planned communities have a larger population than a small town. Planned communities are usually within a reasonable distance to metropolitan centers as well, which is nice because you can still live in small town America without giving up the amenities you've come to depend on and enjoy.

Take Eagle Mountain Reserve, a 118-acre master planned community located on the northeastern foothills of Lake Buchanan, Texas. The site itself is situated on a mountain overlooking picturesque Lake Buchanan -- a 23,000 acre lake in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. It's only 13 miles from the city of Burnet, 27 miles from Georgetown, and just 70 miles northwest of Austin.
