Now Everyone can get their fifteen minutes of fame
I justed checked out a site called YawpBox, a site thats similar to Youtube, that is solely focused on videos created by average, ordinary people. The idea is refreshing to me, personally I'm sick of hearing about copy write law suits and which site is going to be able to host / broadcast "Heros".
The videos at YawpBox are broken up into categories that everyone can relate to, marriage proposals, experiences with law enforcement, where were you that day in history, and your experience with your mullet just too name a few. I thought that the mullet images were funny, but that's just me. That's just the tip of the iceberg, there are so many categories that so many people can relate to that there's definitely something for everyone. Oh yeah, and the videos are shot by everyday people, so it's an independent look at the world.
For those of you who are hoping to get a little exposure, all the videos on YawpBox are eligible to be featured on the "Lex & Terry Challenge", a 30 minute weekly "magazine style" show, filmed before a live studio audience in Dallas, Texas. So, if you're looking for your fifteen minutes of fame you might just get it here. But be warned, if you're not posting you best moments you could be famous for the wrong thing.
