Furniture or Art?

The Wave Chair from Moore Designs of London is going through a bit of an identity crisis. It's hard to tell whether this chair is meant to be a functional piece of furniture or a piece of art. Either way the Wave chair looks great, but it would be nice to sit in it before you drop $2200 to have it shipped from the UK.
